About This Mac

The cellular iPad mini 3 kept LTE connectivity in 2014 while adding Touch ID to the previous mini’s design. Fingerprint unlocking made everyday access more convenient, and a gold finish joined the range. The A7 chip and Retina screen carried over, so there was no new level of processing performance or display sharpness. Its appeal centred on convenience rather than a major hardware change. The Wi-Fi-only iPad mini 3 offered the fingerprint unlocking for use around wireless networks.
