All systems provided come in 100% full working order and with our industry leading warranty. The conditions we describe below are only in relation to the cosmetic appearance of our machines. We never supply systems with technical faults unless clearly stated in the condition description. When pricing a system the condition grade is an attributing factor and a reduction of price will be seen on lower grades.
During the assessment stage of our system, we use a measure we call the 80% rule. This rule is our boundary for battery replacement. Our technicians look at the full charge capacity of the laptop vs the design capacity as well as cycle count. If this falls below what we regard as less than 80% of the original battery life we fit the system with a brand new battery.
The batteries we supply have at minimum 80% of the original design capacity. Even our oldest systems should provide at least 3+ hours of battery life with general usage.
Please note this is not Guaranteed as all users use their laptops In different ways. This figure is an average taken using a wide range of systems.
To ensure the robustness of all our products we employe a well-practised testing procedure that covers all system components. Using leading-edge diagnostics tools, the same of which is used by Apple were able to identify any inconsistencies well before they reach consumers. In addition to this, a 32 point exam which our Apple Certified technicians check by hand the total functional validity of the system. This exam includes but is not limited to test such as keyboard key-strokes, wifi & Bluetooth and accessory connecting.
This exam includes but is not limited to;
It’s not just people who need a little R&R. During our testing process, any components which are flagged will be repaired or replaced with new parts. Furthermore, we replace out-of-date storage technology with upgrade solid-state or fusion systems. This means our Macs will last the rigorous test of time with improvements to stability and reliability.
Here are just some of the benefits of our R&R process.
Please note we do not ‘repair’ or ‘refurbish’ systems as a service to customers. We only perform work on systems purchased from our store.
Double check & triple check. Prior to the listing of each system, they’re thoroughly cleaned and sent through our Quality Assurance team. Our QA team re-run our 32 point system check process to ensure hardware & software is fully functional. Then finally a condition assessment is made with a detailed inspection of any applicable imperfections with a grade given to each machine at the end. This condition grade is seconded by the sales team who list our products.

With selected merchants, when you check out with PayPal Credit, you'll be shown a selection of instalment offers which enable you to spread the cost of your purchase across a number of repayments. These instalment offers allow you to choose a set monthly repayment over a fixed period to help spread the cost of larger purchases in a more manageable way.
Instalment offers will always have an interest rate lower than the standard variable rate. If you already have PayPal Credit, you can take advantage of these offers without having to reapply as long as you have enough available credit limit.
It is important that you think about whether you can afford the monthly repayment agreed for any instalment offer. This will be added to your monthly minimum repayment amount and will need to be paid each month.
If you fail to make repayments or in certain other circumstances, PayPal may remove your offer and any outstanding amount will be charged at 23.9% p.a. (variable). Please see the Credit Agreement for more details.
PayPal Credit is like a credit card, without the plastic. It's a credit limit that's attached to your PayPal account which you can use for your online purchases. If you have PayPal Credit it will be available as a funding source within your PayPal wallet and can be used for purchases in most places where PayPal is accepted. You can make purchases in the same way as you would with a normal credit card, by choosing PayPal Credit as your funding source at checkout.
For purchases less than £99.00, interest is charged at our standard rate of 23.9% p.a. (variable) if the full amount is not paid off by the date shown on your statement. In addition, PayPal Credit lets you access two types of promotional offers: 0% for 4 months on all purchases of £99.00 and over; and instalment offers with selected merchants.
No, PayPal Credit is only available to customers over 18 living in the United Kingdom (excluding Channel Islands and the Isle of Man). PayPal also have to assess a customer's creditworthiness, so you should have a good credit history to apply.
Customers may be offered the opportunity to apply for credit on a website, if purchasing an eligible product and choosing to apply for an instalment offer using PayPal Credit. Otherwise customers can apply directly via PayPal's website.

You can use this offer as many times as you like as long as you have an available credit limit.
While no interest is charged, any balance subject to a 0% for 4 months offer will be included in the calculation of your minimum repayment amount. Any remaining balance due after the 4-month promotional period will be charged at 23.9% p.a. (variable). If you fail to make minimum repayments on time or in certain other circumstances, PayPal may remove your offer. Please see the Credit Agreement for more details.

Every Mac undergoes thorough testing, cleaning, and repairs by certified technicians to ensure it looks great and performs like new.

Ideal for the typical consumer these small portable notebooks are cheaper than their Pro counterparts saving you money where unnecessary performance isn’t included. We stock a range of MacBooks, including the latest Retina models using Thunderbolt technology.
If you’re unsure which used MacBook for sale you should choose, or specification is suitable for you or require more information; please feel free to get in touch with our team. On a tight budget and looking for a cheap MacBook Pro? Make sure you take a look at our fair condition systems which offer great value for money.
All of our Apple devices are in 100% full working order with our industry-leading warranty. Conditions describe the cosmetic appearance of our devices only’ performance is unaffected
All of our Apple devices undergo a comprehensive refurbishment process from certified Apple technicians, giving them a new lease of life, with cleaned and upgraded parts.
All our devices are meticulously inspected and refurbished by certified technicians in the UK to ensure exceptional quality, regardless of condition. Here’s what each grade means:
No matter which condition you choose, every device is refurbished to meet our strict standards for functionality and performance. Buy confidently, knowing you’re getting a great product at a fair price.
The 13-inch MacBook Air and Pro are compact and easy to carry, ideal if portability matters more than screen size. They weigh up to 1.4kg and are around 30cm wide, perfect for commuting, studying, or casual use.
Need more screen space without sacrificing weight? The 15-inch MacBook Air gives you just that. It weighs only 1.51kg and measures about 34cm wide, making it great for hybrid workers and multitaskers.
The 14-inch balances power with portability with all the same upgrades as the 16-inch MacBook Pro but with a smaller screen and lighter design, making it a versatile device.
If power and advanced features matter most, like upgraded speakers, brighter screens, and faster chips, the MacBook Pro is the way to go. The 16-inch offers maximum performance and display size for demanding tasks.
The 24-inch iMac is Apple’s current desktop model and offers excellent power and visuals. You’ll need a refurbished model if you prefer a smaller 21.5-inch or larger 27-inch display. The 24-inch is often more capable, thanks to Apple Silicon.
Apple’s M-series chips are faster, cooler, and more energy-efficient than Intel chips, giving longer battery life and better overall performance. If your applications don’t specifically require Intel, we recommend choosing an M-series Mac, provided it fits your budget.
Apple M-series chips use more cores because they combine powerful cores for intensive tasks with energy-saving cores for lighter work. This balanced design boosts performance, improves battery life, and ensures efficient operation.
Most Macs get at least 7 years of major macOS updates after their release, with additional security updates continuing for a year or two after that.
Some models have received support for up to 11 years, like the Mac Pro (2013) and Mac Mini (2014). We expect 8–10 years of usable life from most models.
Your Mac will still work. You can browse the web, stream, email, and use apps like Microsoft Office well beyond official support. But if you handle sensitive data, we recommend upgrading for complete security.
Yes. Apple Silicon Macs (from 2020 onward) are expected to have even longer support, thanks to Apple’s full control over hardware and software.
With good care, like keeping it clean, avoiding damage, and maintaining the battery, your Mac can easily outlive its update cycle and stay useful for many years.
256GB: Enough for most users thanks to cloud storage.
512GB: Better if you need offline access or work with larger files.
1TB+: Ideal for professionals handling high-resolution media or large projects.
256GB is enough for most day-to-day tasks, especially with cloud storage, keeping your files safe and accessible. Apple’s on-device storage is costly, so it’s best to choose based on what you need, not just want.
Apple iCloud Drive: Best for Mac users. Built into macOS, it offers seamless file syncing across all Apple devices.
Google Drive: Great if you use Gmail or Google Docs.
Dropbox: A reliable, user-friendly choice for both personal and business use. Easy sharing and solid performance across all platforms.
Our sales team has carefully handpicked models that best suit each type of use. We’ve considered a range of factors like specification, battery life, weight, screen quality, and overall performance to help match you with the right device.
Whether you’re working, studying, creating, or travelling, our curated options are designed to make your choice easier.
If nothing feels like the perfect fit, whether it’s due to budget or specific needs, just let us know. We’d be happy to put together a bespoke order tailored just for you.
M1, M2, M3, M4: Suitable for everyday tasks like web browsing, document editing, and media consumption.
M Pro: Enhanced graphics performance for creative professionals handling photo editing, graphic design, and moderate video editing.
M Max: High-end graphics capabilities designed for intensive tasks such as 3D rendering and complex video editing.
M Ultra: Top-tier graphics performance for the most demanding applications, including high-resolution video production, advanced 3D modelling, and large-scale data processing.
8GB: Suitable for basic tasks like web browsing, email, and document editing.
16GB: Ideal for multitasking, moderate photo editing, and casual gaming.
32GB: Recommended for professional video editing, 3D rendering, and intensive multitasking.
Apple M-series Macs use one pool of memory for both the processor and graphics. This setup is fast and efficient, but it also means video editing and other heavy tasks can quickly use up available memory. If you’re working with large video files or doing graphics-heavy work, choosing more RAM will help everything run smoother.
The myth that you’re better off waiting a while before updating your macOS is a thing of the past. Apple has dramatically improved their initial releases. However, the stigma has still stuck with some users. Unless you have a specific need for an older version, for example, if you’re running legacy software that is no longer updated, you may need to choose a previous version. As default, we install the latest supported version with all the newest features and security updates.

Refurbished items can vary in condition, but we’ve tried to make things simple at MacFinder. We split items into three categories.
New (Unsealed)
On newer models, it’s more likely we will have items that come in their original box like they’re new. Sometimes these items have been used for days before we get them, and on some occasions, they are fresh from distributors. We say unsealed because nothing goes without testing, and we must be able to change the configuration for you if required.
Standard Condition
The product is in good condition and expected for its model and year. It may have a few scratches, minor dents or marks that show expected wear and tear. Our technicians have guidelines during preparation that separate any devices we consider to have cosmetic imperfections.
Cosmetic Imperfections
If you’re budget conscious, an item with cosmetic imperfections can be the ideal solution. We cannot stress enough that the defects are only cosmetic, and the systems are completely functional without damage to the internal components. All fair condition system components are meticulously inspected and listed on our website with photos in a separate category.

Traditionally, devices came in Silver, but in 2016 Apple started offering Space Grey, Gold or Rose Gold. Newer models can come in up to 7 different colours.
To keep our prices as competitive as possible, we sell items at the standard 20% VAT rate or under the Margin Scheme. This makes no difference to consumers. If you’re a UK VAT-registered business, there is no VAT claimable on Margin Scheme purchases.
