About This Mac

The second-generation 12.9-inch Wi-Fi iPad Pro brought a substantial screen update in 2017 while retaining the original model’s Home-button design. ProMotion introduced refresh rates up to 120Hz for smoother scrolling and drawing, while True Tone adjusted the display’s white balance to surrounding light. A10X replaced A9X for more demanding creative apps, and the rear camera gained 4K recording. Charging and accessories still used Lightning, so this generation did not have the later USB-C connection. The cellular second-generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro added mobile data to the ProMotion canvas.
