About This Mac

The 2024 16-inch MacBook Pro paired M4 Pro or M4 Max with practical improvements around the familiar large XDR screen. Thunderbolt 5 offered more bandwidth for demanding docks and external storage than the 16-inch M3 Pro and M3 Max MacBook Pro. A 12MP Centre Stage camera improved video-call framing, while higher outdoor display brightness and an optional nano-texture finish helped in bright surroundings. The stronger chips expanded its professional workload capacity, though its weight and footprint remained the trade-off for that screen and cooling system.
