The 14-inch M5 Max MacBook Pro put the graphics-focused end of Apple’s 2026 laptop range into a compact case. Compared with M4 Max, its revised GPU and neural accelerators, higher memory bandwidth and faster SSD technology addressed demanding creative and local AI workloads, with 2TB of storage as standard. Wi-Fi 7 updated its wireless connections as well. It offered more graphics and memory headroom than the 14-inch M5 Pro MacBook Pro, although the larger Max chip brought greater power demands, and the highest memory capacities depended on choosing the appropriate GPU configuration.
