The tenth-generation Wi-Fi iPad gave the standard range a substantial redesign in 2022, moving Touch ID into the top button. A larger 10.9-inch screen and the A14 Bionic replaced the ninth generation’s smaller display and A13, giving apps more room and processing headroom. USB-C replaced Lightning, and the landscape front camera made calls more natural with a keyboard attached. The screen remained unlaminated, leaving a visible gap between the glass and image. The cellular tenth-generation iPad added mobile data to the design.
