About This Mac

The cellular iPad mini with A17 Pro kept the mini’s 5G option in 2024, using eSIM for mobile data alongside the processor refresh. A17 Pro replaced A15 Bionic, and starting storage doubled to 128GB, leaving more room for games, notes and downloaded media. Pencil Pro support brought squeeze and barrel-roll controls to compatible drawing apps, while faster USB-C transfers helped with larger files. The 8.3-inch screen stayed at 60Hz, so this was no display overhaul. The Wi-Fi-only A17 Pro iPad mini shared the chip and Pencil Pro support where mobile data was unnecessary.
