About This Mac

The fifth-generation Wi-Fi iPad re-established a straightforward standard iPad in 2017, sitting below the Pro range with a familiar 9.7-inch screen. A9 replaced the Air 2’s A8X, and starting storage moved to 32GB, giving everyday apps and downloaded media more room than the earlier 16GB entry configuration. The thicker body and unlaminated display were clear compromises beside the Air 2. It also lacked Apple Pencil support, keeping its role centred on touch-based browsing, reading and media. The cellular fifth-generation iPad added mobile data to this standard iPad design.
