About This Mac

The cellular iPad Air 2 paired LTE with the second Air’s thinner design and display improvements in 2014. The fully laminated screen reduced the gap between image and glass, and its anti-reflective coating helped in bright surroundings. A8X and more memory improved processing and multitasking headroom, while Touch ID made unlocking simpler. It retained the 9.7-inch format and had no Apple Pencil support, so handwritten input still depended on less capable styluses. The Wi-Fi-only iPad Air 2 shared the laminated screen and Touch ID for use around wireless networks.
