About This Mac

The Wi-Fi iPad mini 5 revived the familiar 7.9-inch design in 2019, with more substantial internal changes than its unchanged appearance suggested. The newer chip gave apps and games more headroom, while first-generation Apple Pencil support turned the mini into a compact handwritten notebook. True Tone adjusted the screen to surrounding light, and a 256GB option expanded room for downloaded media. The Home button and Lightning connector remained, with Pencil charging less convenient than later magnetic designs. The cellular iPad mini 5 added mobile data to the compact notebook format.
