Similar to the 10.5-inch model released in 2017 the 12.9-inch gen 2 iPad Pro with WiFi and cellular was focused around a minor performance upgrade with the A10X chip and improvements to the screen. The new display was 50% brighter as well as having a 120Hz refresh rate. The most significant change however was the introduction of a USB-C port to the iPad Pro line up.
