The 2023 Mac mini widened the range by offering M2 Pro alongside the standard M2, giving the small desktop a clearer role in creative work. The Pro version added two more Thunderbolt ports and supported more displays, while both versions gained Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. The familiar silver enclosure remained unchanged, keeping the upgrade focused on capability rather than appearance. Compared with the M1 Mac mini, there was more processing and memory headroom, although port counts, display limits and maximum memory depended on the chip chosen.
