The mid-2013 11-inch MacBook Air made battery life a bigger part of its appeal. Haswell processors helped extend Apple’s wireless web estimate from five to nine hours, while PCIe flash storage and 802.11ac Wi-Fi improved file handling and wireless connections over the mid-2012 11-inch MacBook Air. The tiny wedge-shaped case remained, with no dramatic visual redesign. It was a more capable travelling companion, although the compact screen still restricted workspace and the memory had to be chosen before purchase.
