Repair My Mac Questions

What kinds of Macs can you repair?

We service Apple Silicon Macs (M1, M2, M3, etc.) including MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, Mac mini, Mac Studio. We do not currently support legacy Intel Macs (i3, i5, i7, Xeon) or devices with unrecoverable faults.

What issues are you able to fix?

We handle screen replacements, battery swaps, logic board repairs, broken ports, liquid damage (to an extent), unresponsive units, and more. If your issue is unusual (e.g. firmware corruption, complex logic board damage), we’ll run diagnostics and let you know exactly what’s involved before proceeding.

How does your repair process work?

Here’s the breakdown:

  • You send or drop off your Mac (packed securely or via DPD drop-off).

  • We run a full diagnostic to identify all faults.

  • We send you a quote and wait for approval.

  • Once approved, genuine or high-quality parts are ordered and installed.

  • Your Mac is tested thoroughly and returned.

We aim for turnaround times within 10 days, though many repairs complete faster.

What does the 3-month guarantee cover?

Once your repair is done, we back our workmanship for 3 months. That means if the same fault reappears (given normal use), we’ll fix it again free of charge. It doesn’t cover unrelated damage or new issues outside the scope of the original repair.

Do I still lose data or files?

We treat your data like gold. We don’t erase your drive unless absolutely necessary (e.g. logic board replacement). In most cases, all your files, apps, and settings remain intact. Still, we always recommend that you back up your data before sending your device (Time Machine, iCloud, or external SSD).

What about battery life or battery swelling? Do you replace batteries?

Yes, battery replacement is one of our most common services. If your battery is swollen, underperforming, or no longer holding a charge, we’ll replace it with a genuine or OEM-equivalent battery and test performance.

How much will the repair cost?

Costs vary widely depending on the issue (screen, board, ports, etc.). We charge a small inspection fee (which is waived if you go ahead with the repair), then send you a detailed quote. You can accept or reject it; there are no surprise charges.

Why use your service vs Apple official repair?

We offer a few advantages:

  • Faster turnaround (often quicker than Apple queue times).

  • More competitive pricing.

  • Use of certified or genuine parts (not cheap non-branded replacements).

  • Local service (no international shipping).

  • More flexibility: we can often diagnose and fix custom or rare issues that Apple won’t.

Can I cancel a repair after I’ve sent you my Mac?

You can cancel after diagnostics, but you will still be charged the inspection fee (or part thereof) for the time and effort spent diagnosing. If you decide not to proceed with repairs, we’ll return the Mac to you safely.
