About This Mac

The Wi-Fi iPad 2 made Apple’s tablet thinner and lighter in 2011, refining the original iPad’s shape without changing its 9.7-inch screen size. A5 introduced a dual-core processor for more capable apps and games, while front and rear cameras added FaceTime and video recording. The Smart Cover introduced a simple magnetic cover that could also fold into a stand. Its screen kept the original resolution, so the improvement in portability and versatility did not extend to sharper text. The cellular iPad 2 added mobile data for use beyond Wi-Fi coverage.
