About This Mac

The first 12.9-inch cellular iPad Pro added LTE to Apple’s new large-screen Pro range in 2015, before the smaller Pro arrived in 2016. A9X and four speakers supported more ambitious creative work and media use, while the first Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard expanded how the tablet could be used. Those accessories were sold separately, and its size made handheld use less comfortable than on a 9.7-inch iPad. The smaller Pro was a later addition, rather than part of the original launch. The Wi-Fi-only first-generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro offered the large canvas for use around wireless networks.
