About This Mac

The 14-inch M4 Pro and M4 Max MacBook Pro combined stronger professional chips with a useful connectivity update in 2024. Thunderbolt 5 increased bandwidth for demanding external storage and docks compared with the three-port 14-inch M3 MacBook Pro. The 12MP Centre Stage camera added automatic framing, and brighter outdoor display output plus an optional nano-texture finish addressed difficult lighting. Its compact XDR design remained familiar, but the chip and memory choices still needed care: the smaller case offered portability without making every configuration equivalent to a larger workstation.
