About This Mac

The cellular iPad mini 4 combined LTE with a thinner, lighter mini design in 2015, making the small tablet easier to carry. A8 replaced A7, while a fully laminated display brought the image closer to the glass and reduced reflections. An improved rear camera made document capture more useful, and extra memory helped with multitasking. Despite those changes, it had no Apple Pencil support, limiting its role as a handwritten notebook. The Wi-Fi-only iPad mini 4 retained the laminated screen and A8 chip around wireless networks.
