About This Mac

The sixth-generation 12.9-inch cellular iPad Pro paired 5G with the large Pro’s 2022 move from M1 to M2. M2 added processing headroom and ProRes recording, while Apple Pencil hover gave compatible apps a preview of the pen’s position before contact. Wi-Fi 6E widened wireless options on suitable networks, with the large HDR canvas still central to photo and video work. Its size and weight made it less comfortable for prolonged handheld use than the smaller Pro. The Wi-Fi-only sixth-generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro retained the M2 chip and HDR display for use around wireless networks.
