About This Mac

The sixth-generation 12.9-inch Wi-Fi iPad Pro updated the large Pro to M2 in 2022, retaining the previous model’s mini-LED display. M2 added processing headroom and ProRes recording, while Apple Pencil hover gave compatible apps a preview of the pen’s position before contact. Wi-Fi 6E widened wireless options on suitable networks, with the large HDR canvas still central to photo and video work. Its size and weight made it less comfortable for prolonged handheld use than the smaller Pro. The cellular sixth-generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro added mobile data to that large workspace.
