About This Mac

Apple brought the MacBook name back in 2015 with a different idea of a portable Mac: a 12-inch Retina screen in a fanless body weighing under a kilogram. Its Force Touch trackpad and butterfly keyboard helped make the case unusually thin, while the sharp display made text and photographs clearer than on the 2015 13-inch MacBook Air. The low-power Core M processor favoured everyday work over lengthy exports. A single USB-C port handled charging, accessories and display output, so using several connections together called for an adaptor.
