This 2017 model brought minor upgrades to the previous model for the processors and graphics along with a lower 128GB storage option (down from the base 256GB storage seen in previous models) to provide a lower cost of entry. Apple decided to keep the same chassis and shape along with the silver and space gray finishes. The processors were upgraded to the Kaby Lake generation of Intel chips which would provide a faster and more updated specification for consumers to purchase.
